Mt. Hermon stands majestically
Hovering above a cloud
Of morning mist
Rising from the Hula valley
A holy sentinel
Standing guard
As waves of morning heat
Rise up from the earth.
Oh Hermon!
You awaken in me Holy pride!
A pride born of the holiness of the Land of Israel
That is wedged deep in my heart
Deep in the collective consciousness of all the generations
That longed to breathe the air of the Holy Land
Rivers of water and streams of light
Flow down from your exulted heights
To water a generation parched from thirst
For real meaning
Of a higher purpose
Of a renewal of the mission
Implanted in the heart of Avraham
When he first came to the land
His every step paved the way
For every Jew
To follow God’s call
To come home
Again
