This recipe was brought to us by one our recent Shabbat guests, Renana, a student at Bar Ilan University. Half the fun of the recipe is guessing the secret ingredient. Serve the cake first and enjoy the delightful textures and flavors and then have everybody try to guess what’s in it…
Heh Heh Heh!
½ C honey or sugar
3 eggs
½ t baking soda
Pinch of salt
Pinch of cinnamon
1 bar chocolate
(Shh……! Here comes the secret………………..1 can chickpeas!)
Blend the secret ingredient with sweetener add eggs, baking soda, salt and cinnamon, keep blending, melt chocolate and stir in.
Bake at 180 degrees C or 350 degrees F for 10 -15 minutes
Top with a mixture of sesame paste (Tehina) and honey.
